Getting started
Getting started with Veritas UI takes one call, a price list and a morning at your shop; we do the rest. We also need a few details to open Shopify in your name, and your rules for collection and delivery. This guide lists all of it, so nothing holds up your launch.

Your first four weeks
Most websites go live in about three to four weeks from the day we have your price list: about three for most food businesses, about four for a supermarket or another trade.
A fixed quote in writing, then your price list and hours, and a morning filming your shop.
We build the site from your list and photos, in a Shopify account opened in your name.
You get a private preview link to check before anyone else sees it, and we make your changes.
You approve it, we place test orders, connect your domain and switch it on.
Start this week and you could be live byabout four weeks from now
A guide, not a promise. Most delays come from waiting on details, such as a price list, Shopify's payment checks or domain logins. Have a date to hit, like Eid? Tell Adam on the first call and we plan back from it.

The checklist
You do not need all of it on day one. Send what you have and we will chase the rest.

01
A list from your till, a printed menu or a photo of your price board, and we type it up.

02
Send your own photos, or we come for a morning to photograph and film your products and counter.

03
The store is opened in your business name with your email, so it belongs to you from day one.

04
Shopify asks the owner for photo ID, business details and a bank account so it can pay you.

05
If you already own a web address, tell us where it is registered, and if not, we help you buy one in your name.

06
Your normal hours, and the time you stop taking orders before closing.

07
Where you deliver, any minimum order, delivery charges and how much notice the kitchen needs.

08
Allergen information for each dish or product, and any halal or hygiene certificates you want shown.

No. Many of the businesses we work with have never had one, and if you do have one, we look at it first.
No. We set it all up, and after launch we show you the few things worth knowing, such as changing a price.
So the store, the payments and the customer list belong to your business. You add us as staff, and you can remove us at any time.
Send it anyway and mark what has changed. We would rather start from a scribbled list than wait for a perfect one.
No. We can photograph and film at the shop in a morning, and real photos of your own food sell better than stock pictures.
Photo ID, business details and a UK bank account, all from the owner. Have them to hand when we switch on card payments together.

Usually waiting: for a price list, for Shopify's payment checks, or for domain logins nobody can find. We tell you early if something is holding things up.
Usually, if we start early enough. Tell Adam the date on the first call and we will plan back from it.
Yes. You get a private preview link to check on your phone, and nothing goes live until you say so.
Everything a customer touches. We place test orders, check prices against your list, test collection and delivery, and check the site on phones and computers.
We connect your domain, switch on payments and stay close for the first orders, so anything odd is fixed quickly.
